Today we’re talking about step 1 of 3 to selling your handmade products online successfully: foundation. It’s often the difference between a shop that’s killing it and a shop that’s still struggling. Even if you’ve been selling for some time, I encourage you to listen to this episode and maybe tweak a few things for better results.

You can watch the video, or see the show notes below.

Show notes:

What truly separates successful sellers to average (or less than average) ones:

  • mindset (I am going to try and sell my craft vs. I am a business owner);
  • they’re systematic/methodical;
  • they go the extra (boring/annoying/harder) mile + they don’t settle for “yea, kinda”;
  • they kicked the dollar store stigma out of the equation.

What you need to have in place before you even think about marketing your products:

  • customer profile;
  • branding: tangible and intangible;
  • product collections;
  • pricing;
  • photography;
  • online shop.

Today I’m going to share with you how to create a cohesive product collection. Why even make one and not just let creativity take you places? A cohesive product collection is a great way to let your customer know what your shop and brand are all about.
